Are you starting a new business? Are you worried that this may be the wrong time to do it?
Becky’s home decor business is one of those start ups that has absolutely flourished this year, in what should be a difficult time for small biz owners, has quickly become the year of entrepreneurs.
Becky has regular shoots throughout the year to keep her social media and website full of relevant and engaging content and she is definitely seeing the benefits of that. How exciting to see her business grow!
Amazingly, 2020 has seen more businesses than ever starting off completely fresh or having to pivot what they do and how they work. Bear with me whilst I share a few stats…
In 2020 there have been 18,000 (!) searches per month on Google of “how to start up a new business” and this year – the year of the pandemic- has seen a record rise in new start ups partly because of redundancies, and partly because Covid and Lockdown has given us the impetus to rethink our working lives.
The e-commerce sector has seen growth up a massive 88% in 2020. An extra 85,000 businesses were set up in 2020 than in 2019. This is brilliant news that so many people are feeling enthusiastic about being entrepreneurs. With all this activity going on it’s more important than ever to stand out and attract your ideal clients.
Instagram and facebook are becoming even more crowded, a bit of a jumble sale at times, so it’s relevant now more than ever to get noticed with great content and engaging images and I can help you with that.
What I’ve heard from my clients is that it’s a struggle to get a constant stream of content to share on social media, especially when there are so many other things to be getting on with in your business. It is a bit of a time suck to be honest but having a bank of bespoke, on-brand images that you can draw from throughout a few months really takes the pressure off.
