It’s not everyday you see a man swimming past your window. What an incredible achievement for David Walliams who is now nearing the end of his challenge to swim the length of the Thames, the equivalent to swimming the channel 7 times. Unbelievable. When it would have been so easy to go down another more comfortabe fundraising route (literally) DW chose the hard way and lifted the spirits of everyone cheering him on as much as they did him.
Here are a few photos from David’s pit stop at Ye Olde Swan in Thames Ditton (my local) where he had a cuppa and a bit of physio. He even managed a smile and to sign a few autographs for the youngest fans when most people would have been gasping on the floor.
