There aren’t many things more romantic than a Christmas winter wedding and this one was magical. Lizzie and Matt had planned a beautiful, laid back and rather gorgeous affair in Lizzie’s parents’ garden in Richmond Upon Thames. The extensive marquee covered the whole of the garden with some of the plants and garden features being included in the winter wedding reception, such as the Buddah statue. A main stage at the far end for the band was an ideal place for Lizzie and Matt to do their ‘first song’ instead of a dance. This was way beyond your average karaoke session though! Lizzie and Matt were pretty darn good at belting out Dead Ringer for Love to a very appreciative crowd.
They were married in a beautiful church just opposite Lizzie’s house so the guests had a very short stroll to the reception where the Pie Masters served guests a real heartwarming meal…perfect for a bright but chilly December day. Each table has a nominated guest to serve the rest of the people on their table and to go with this they need to wear a chef’s hat and apron.
I have to mention just how utterly gorgeous Lizzie looked in her Angelina Colarusso dress with the addition of a faux fur wrap to keep out the chill, perfect for a winter wedding, and I love the adoring look on Matt’s face as he sees her walk down the aisle.
There is so much to love about this fabulous day but I’ll let you scroll through my favourite images to get a glimpse of their winter wedding story.
You can see their autumn pre wed shoot here.
Huge thanks to my lovely talented friend Cristina Rossi for shooting this with me.
